OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 2003
Each employee at HPH is
given the opportunity to vote for one nominee for Outstanding Employee of the
Year. A committee is selected among peers and counts nominations, makes
final decision on winner and is responsible for making the entire Employee
Reception enjoyable for all. Other staff members not on the committee also
participate in the reception preparation.
This year, Abby Phillips McClain was chosen as Employee of the Year 2003.
Ms. McClain received her degree in nursing from Lander College. She
resides in Belton with her husband, David, and three children. Prior to
joining the staff at HPH in 1996 she was employed at Anderson Area Medical
Center and St. Joseph Hospital in August, Gerogia. Since began her career at HPH
as a staff nurse then became head nurse on Lodge H. Currently she serves
as Medical Staff Credentials and Performance Improvement Coordinator at Harris
Hospital. Numerous comments were made by staff on the nomination ballots and are as
follows:
